Risperdal, often known by its generic name Risperdal, is used to treat several mental and mood disorders helping thereby to think clearly and take active part in everyday life. Though it is used to treat mental problems, it has various side effects which act adversely towards both mental and physical health.

Risperdal belongs to a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. The medicine is taken orally and is one of the most frequently prescribed medications worldwide.
